Jaguar - original vintage new old stock 1970s? keyring

We have just this one example of this original Jaguar keyring to offer,

This is a brand new old stock item which we would think dates from the 1970s.

This is an example of the keyrings which were actually being used in Jaguar cars at the time.

The vitreous enamel badge is marked ‘BRITISH MADE’ on the back and is mounted onto a keyfob in faux black leather.

Bud Marston describes similar keyrings in his book ‘Vintage Jaguar Keyrings’ and dates them as ‘probably 1970s’.

This particular keyring with the ‘British Made’ marked badge will be an original 1970? example whereas the badge design was continued and could still be bought on new keyrings up until fairly recently – but these can easily be identified as the back of the badge is plain.

Additionally the newer badges will likely be in modern resin based enamel rather than genuine vitreous enamel as this one is in.
