Jaguar – original vintage new old stock late 1970s/ 1980s keyring – collector’s item

An original Jaguar keyring which will have been produced in the late 1970s or 1980s.

When this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

We thought that we had seen every Jaguar keyring which has ever been produced until this one turned up !

This is one which we have never seen an example of before.

It will date from the late 1970s or 1980s and is in new old stock condition.

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather.

The badge depicts the famous Jaguar ‘leaper’ .

Keyrings like this one were possibly produced as ‘budget’ keyrings intended for everyday use in daily driver cars .

This does not make them less collectible as these were the keyrings actually being used in the cars at the time.

The fact that they may have been ‘budget’ items meant that few may have survived making them scarcer than quality keyrings such as the CUD torpedo which has survived in reasonable numbers.

Whilst this is regarded as a ‘budget’ keyring only a few can have originally been made as this is the only example which we have ever seen over the last 10+ years.
