Jowett Javelin - original 1950s ? lapel badge - collector's item

An original Jowett lapel badge which we would think will have been produced in the 1950s or early 1960s .

One of the rarest items which we have ever listed – this is the only example of an original Jowett Javelin lapel badge which we have ever seen over the years.

The nickel plated badge with vitreous enamel detail is in surprisingly good condition for it’s age as can be seen from the photos.

Please be aware that this is a tiny item measuring just 1″ ( 25mm ) in total length .

The enlarged high resolution listing photos show up every tiny mark – almost all of which are not visible when the badge is viewed at life size with the naked eye.

Back in the 1950s & 1960s owners of makes of car often wore these lapel badges in their jacket lapels as a means of identifying other owners at club events etc.

That was in the days when owners wore sports jackets of course – nowadays sports jackets will have been replaced by a tee-shirt with a gaudy statement of ownership emblazoned across the front !
