Lotus – original 1960s vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Lotus keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

An outstanding example of this earliest of Lotus vitreous enamel keyfob badges which dates from the 1960s.

Very occasionally we have listed early badges like this one – but rarely in this condition .

The last one was listed and sold in October 2023.

We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in full grain black leather .

The very earliest Lotus keyrings ever produced did not have a badge at all – they were simply black leather keyfobs with the details & Wymondham address embossed onto the leather keyfob .

Lotus then had keyrings produced with the badge in this listing with ‘LOTUS’ represented in a very full font – probably not many were produced as in any condition the badges are rare .

This badge is in hand laid vitreous enamel – the quality of the enamelling is superb – the badge will have been produced in Birmingham at the time .

This badge will be original & date correct for use with 1957 -1968 Lotus Seven,  1958 – 1963 Lotus Elite, early 1962 – 1971 Lotus Elan and possibly also early 1967 -1971 Lotus Europa .
