Lotus – original vintage 1960s ‘ Trend ‘ keyring

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Lotus keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s .

We have just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in very good condition for it’s age with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .

The badge has an enamel chip at 6 0’clock on the face of the badge and a further tiny chip at 9 0’clock – almost inevitable on a keyring of this age which has obviously had some use .

These can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos .

The leather keyfob is in good condition with the usual pleasing appearance and feel of a leather keyfob which has covered a good many miles – almost certainly in Lotus cars !

The top corners of the keyfob are ‘ bumped’ as can be seen in the photos .

‘ TREND ‘ gold embossed onto the back of the keyfob – we do occasionally see keyrings made by Trend but have never discovered exactly who they were .

Maybe they were connected with Alexander who were suppliers of motoring accessories at the time .

There were many producers of car keyrings in the 1960s ( many of them being very small concerns and almost all of them based in England )

At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were produced in England – it was quite an industry.

The details and identities of these small badgemakers & leatherworkers have sadly become lost in time and are unlikely to surface in the future having never been properly recorded and are now probably lost forever .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive and is original & correct for use with any 1960s or early 1970s Lotus motor car . SMOSO  00/57   09/23
