Maserati – original 1970s vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Maserati keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1970s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

When this keyring with this badge has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Very few original vintage keyfob badges and keyrings for Maserati appear .

This original vitreous enamel badge is in excellent condition .

The vitreous enamel in these early badges was hand laid and the surface of the translucent red enamel in this particular badge has a most attractive stippled finish which will have taken place as the molten enamel cooled & solidified .

More recent copies of this badge design were made from the original die – but this badge is an original example .

At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were produced in England – it was quite an industry – and the badge will have been produced in Birmingham & has ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ on the back of the badge.

These badges were originally mounted onto keyfobs in either black or tan leather .

The tan leather keyfobs darkened over years of use to an attractive polished dark tan colour .

We have remounted this badge onto a new keyfob in dark tan oak bark tanned leather which replicates this finish perfectly .

This badge is original & correct for use with any 1970s or early 1980s Maserati motor car.
