Mercedes Benz – original 1990s? keyring with acrylic badge

An original Mercedes Benz keyring which will probably have been produced in the 1990s or early 2000s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled

This keyring is in excellent condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

These keyrings with acrylic dome keyfob badges were originally made by Renamel Ltd of Kilburn High Road, London although by the 1980s they had relocated to Honeypot Lane also in London .

At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were still being made in England – it was quite an industry .

Renamel were the only firm producing keyrings with acrylic dome badges – but then other manufacturers started to produce them as well .

This keyring is unlikely to have been made by Renamel – more likely by one of the other manufacturers .

The badges have lasted very well over the years – in many cases better than the traditional vitreous enamel badges as they have the advantage of not chipping when dropped onto a concrete floor !
