Mercedes Benz - original vintage 1970s vitreous enamel badge keyring

NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered.

We do not hold a licence to reproduce the Mercedes Benz logo –

The badge mounted onto this keyring is an original vintage badge which is over 40 years old.

What a superb keyring !

We have just this one badge to offer mounted onto one of our slimline teardrop keyfobs in full grain black hide as can be seen in the photos.

This badge dates from the 1970s and is original & correct for use with any 1970s Mercedes Benz motor car.

The badge is in virtually mint condition – we have seen very few original 1970s Mercedes Benz keyfob badges in this condition.

Most original 1970s Mercedes Benz keyfob badges which we see have chips to the enamel – not this one !

As almost always the white vitreous enamelling within the Mercedes star has the slightest orange tint- it is not snow white enamel – this is usually the case  with 40 year old white vitreous enamel and was probably present when the badge was brand new. If we hadn’t mentioned it you most probably would not have noticed as it is hardly noticeable when viewed at life size.

Our modern reproduction badges of course have clinically white enamel – so there will be no confusion with a modern reproduction badge !

This particular vitreous enamel badge is in mid blue enamel  – some other 1970s Mercedes Benz badges were produced in a darker shade of cobalt blue.

The badge has ‘Made in England’ cast into the back of the badge – in the 1960s & 1970s almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in Britain – it was quite an industry.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.

When it has been sold this listing will cancel. 00/58
