We have received a small quantity of these original black enamel on chrome MG keyfob badges which were made by the well respected Manhattan Windsor Co. in Birmingham ( sadly now closed )
Manhattan Windsor were the chosen manufacturer for most MG keyfob badges and keyrings at the time .
Their details are cast onto the back of each badge.
These badges were made in the late 1950s or very early 1960s and were apparently never issued – as we have never seen any examples of this exact design in circulation.
Even though the badges are new old stock – after over 50 years in storage the plating had become dull so we have had these badges repolished by our badgemaker .
The badges are date correct for MGA, ZA & ZB, MG Magnette and also for very early MGB.
The badge would also be correct for MG TC, TD and TF – because owners would buy a keyring to use with their earlier car as keyrings became generally available in the late 1950s.
There are no hard & fast rules because owners would also buy a keyring and then use it for years in a succession of later cars.
Available mounted onto our teardrop, slimline teardrop & classic rectangular keyfob shapes and in all of our leather colours.
These badges would originally have been destined to have been mounted onto slimline teardrop or classic rectangular shaped keyfobs in black leather.
Just look how well the badge looks mounted onto a red leather keyfob though !
