Individually Handmade Keyrings For Classic Vehicles Made Here In England & Shipped Worldwide

MG - original late 1950s vintage torpedo keyring - enamelling chipped

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

This torpedo keyring is in well used condition – the vitreous enamel badge is chipped – doubtless inflicted by the keys which will have been attached to the keyring.

The leather fob has become polished by many years of use.

Having said all this – the keyring is still in serviceable condition and will be a good match for use with a car which has not had the indignity of being over-restored.

MG cars in the 1950s & early 1960s ( which this keyring was produced for use with ) were generally used in anger !  They were not the cosseted classics which we are more familiar with now. Consequently the keyrings also had a hard life & generally did not remain in mint condition for long.

There is something really special about having a completely original vintage keyring which dates from the actual time when your car was first built.

This keyring is exactly that – it has not been remade or remounted by us – it is an original vintage item.

The badge is physically attached to the leather keyfob rather than being attached by a thin leather hinge through a metal loop on top of the badge – which is the more usual arrangement.

Original & correct for any  1950s or early 1960s MG sports car.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.

When it has been sold then this listing will cancel.

If our friend Russ Baer in Maryland USA is reading this – we would like to point out that this is not the torpedo keyring which came with his TD which he so kindly gave us for our reference collection !

That keyring is being kept safely for future reference & is not for sale !  59/44       06/20
