We have just this one example of this rare keyring to offer.
This is an original Stewart & Ardern keyring dating from the 1960s and is in excellent condition as can be seen from the photos.
The vitreous enamel badge is in almost mint condition with no enamel chips at all and was made by Davis Badge of London E3 – a badgemaker whose badges very rarely appear on vintage keyrings.
The badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .
Stewart & Ardern were the largest BMC dealers in the London area and are famous for their involvement with the Mini Sprint as follows :-
Stewart & Ardern Minisprint
Although not the first company to market the Minisprint, Stewart & Ardern made the best attempt at selling it. They were the biggest, BMC agents in the London area and decided to go into limited production of this cut down Mini. Available in two sizes, low & lower, it’s biggest problem was always the horrendous cost of modifying the shell by hand.
You would even get a Stewart & Ardern KEYRING with your new purchase.
This keyring is most probably the keyring which you would receive – and we are reliably informed that a couple of examples have recently sold on ebay for well in excess of the price we have listed this one at.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
We did list and sell a similar keyring earlier this year – but the badge did not have a maker’s name on it and the enamel had a chip and there was wear to the nickel plating.
When this keyring has been sold this listing will cancel.
