Morgan - Lawrencetune vitreous enamel badge keyring

This Lawrencetune keyring with a vitreous enamel badge is based on an original example in our reference collection.

Having successfully raced his own tuned Morgan +4 – in 1959 Chris Lawrence set up Lawrencetune in London & proceeded to modify over 400 Triumph TR engines for customers & later for Morgan Motor Co +4 Super Sports cars.

In 1962 Chris competed at Le Mans in his modified works +4 ( TOK 258 ) & won the 2 litre class.

Chris Lawrence sadly died in August 2011.

It is thought that Lawrence had a Lawrencetune keyfob produced to promote his business in the early days – and according to a friend who raced a Morgan Super Sports in the 1960s – a small cache of these was unearthed at an autojumble  some years ago.

He also thinks that a Super Sports owner may have had some further examples made at a later stage.

Our example was actually found still in use in a +4 Super Sports almost 50 years later !

The badges which we have had made are marked ‘CLF Made in England’ on the reverse to avoid any confusion with any further original examples which may come to light in the future.

Available mounted onto our teardrop, slimline teardrop and classic rectangular keyfob shapes in any of the leather colours.
