An original Morris Mini-Minor keyring dating from the early 1960s which is in exceptionally good condition .
The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a genuine light tan leather keyfob .
In addition to the sprung loaded clasp at the top of the keyring ( which can be used for attaching keys ) there is also provision for securing and tucking an ignition key into the keyfob behind the badge as can be seen in the photos.
The ‘key’ shown in the photos is the original facsimile key provided with the keyring when new – and is not a real key.
It is an imitation key formed from wafer thin sheet metal .
Made at the time by Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham – their details are cast into the back of the badge.
This keyring showcases the standards which British industry could & did produce when given a chance in a level marketplace.
If your Morris Mini Minor is the very best one out there then it deserves this keyring which will cost a lot less than a tank full of petrol & will last significantly longer.
