NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
One of the nicest and most interesting original Morris keyrings which we have ever listed.
This keyring dates from the late 1950s or very early 1960s and is in superb condition but looks it’s age.
The vitreous enamel on gilt badge is mounted onto a genuine black leather keyfob .
The green and red components of the vitreous enamel are translucent- which really catch the light .
The badge was made by Premier Badges of London ( they are still trading today from Ingatestone in Essex ) whilst the keyfob is embossed ‘keyflix’ under the badge.
Keyflix was one of the trade names used by Melsom Products of Birmingham ( closed in the late 1960s ) ……………so we are at a loss as to know how a Premier Badges badge happens to be mounted to a keyflix keyfob !
Obviously the ‘union’ happened all those years ago – so maybe there was more collaboration between keyring manufacturers than we give them credit for.
This is a small mystery which will probably never be resolved.
This keyring is original & correct for any Morris motor car of the period and looks ‘just right’ !
The keyring in the photos is then actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 59/93 01/20
