This original Norton keyfob badge is very easy to date as it was made by Castles Unit Development Co. of Leicester in the late 1960s.
Castles are the famous CUD Co. who produced the iconic Jaguar torpedo keyrings in the late 1950s and 1960s.
In the very late 1960s they deserted their vitreous enamel badges and made these vinyl insert badges for just a very short time before sadly going out of business altogether.
These badges have lasted probably better than their vitreous enamel counterparts as they do not chip when dropped onto a hard surface.
This particular badge is in superb condition and is the only example which we have ever seen and listed over the last 10 years – a very rare item.
We have remounted it onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.
The badge is original & correct for use with any 1960s or later Norton motorcycle.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
