NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
This original HWM keyring will be one of the very last examples of original Manhattan Windsor HWM dealership keyrings made before Manhattan Windsor sadly closed it’s doors in the early 2000s.
These final keyrings are already very scarce and collectable – and the listed price reflects what we have to pay for items like this in order to put them into stock.
The keyring is in very good condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto the keyfob which is in genuine black hide.
HWM Aston Martin’s details are silver embossed onto the back of the leather keyfob but have become rather indistinct with the keyring having been used .
A quality item which dealerships no longer seem to hand out with cars any more.
HWM ( Hersham & Walton Motors ) of Walton on Thames are a prestigious Aston Martin dealership which can trace it’s roots back to the late 1940s when it began building Jaguar racing cars.
In 1953 the Company began producing cars with modified Jaguar XK engines – some of these raced in Formula 2.
HWM also produced a Jaguar powered car for Formula 1.
Sadly one of the 2 partners – John Heath – died in 1956 in an HWM Jaguar as a result of an accident during the Mille Miglia road race.
The other partner – George Abecassis gave up with the racing and concentrated on his expanding garage business which remains on the same site to this day.
The keyring in the photo is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
If the value of these keyrings continues to rise like original examples of Coombs or Henlys Jaguar dealership keyrings – then goodness knows where the value will end up ! 00/57 09/20
