Home / Online Shop / Porsche – original 1980s? keyring with acrylic badge
NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
An original Porsche keyring which we would think will have been produced in the 1980s .
We have just this one example in this condition to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .
This keyring is in very good condition with an acrylic domed badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .
Renamel of Kilburn High Road London were the main producer of these acrylic badged keyrings although other manufacturers soon started producing keyrings with acrylic badges as well – we would not think that this keyring was made by Renamel .
Acrylic badged keyrings were produced as ‘budget’ keyrings and were cheaper to buy than their vitreous enamel badged counterparts.
Apart from price – another main advantage was that these acrylic badges did not chip like their more expensive vitreous enamel counterparts when dropped onto a hard concrete floor !
As they were relatively cheap to buy at the time they were not particularly valued by their owners – and were soon discarded when they became worn or when the owner changed from a Porsche to another make of car – so original examples still in good condition like this one are relatively scarce survivors .
Having said that – keyrings like these were readily available at the time and were probably the most used keyrings in all models of Porsche so must be regarded as original and correct for those cars .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive . SMOSO 00/54 11/24
