Porsche – original vintage 1970s keyring

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Porsche keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s .

We have just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This original Porsche keyring is in excellent condition and will have been produced in the 1970s.

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

Porsche badges with yellow vitreous enamel like the one mounted onto this keyfob were actually produced in the late 1960s by one of the Birmingham badgemakers and the badge is marked ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ on the reverse.

At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars ( including Porsche ) were produced in England – it was quite an industry .

The very few examples of this Porsche badge ( probably 4 ) which we have ever seen were all mounted onto vinyl peardrop keyfobs ( which dates them conclusively to the 1960s )

The badge on this keyring is certainly the very same badge but is mounted onto a slightly later typical 1970s grained texture black faux leather keyfob – and is the only Porsche badge of this type which we have ever seen mounted like this.

Obviously this particular badge design continued to be produced into the 1970s – but very few Porsche keyrings were produced in the 1960s & 1970s anyway as most Porsche keyrings were produced in England at that time and Porsche cars were rare on British roads so consequently the market for Porsche keyrings in England was relatively small .

This keyring will pre-date the familiar Porsche crest badge keyrings with the ‘Heubach ‘ badge which began to be produced in Germany in the late 1970s & 1980s.

This keyring is date correct for use with any 1970s Porsche motor car.

The price of this keyring does not reflect it’s quality ( which is not up to the standard of the earlier Porsche CUD keyrings of the 1960s which have now reached stratospheric price levels ) but is a reflection of it’s rarity and the price which we now have to pay in order to stock any original vintage Porsche keyring .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSO   00/551   12/21
