Porsche – original vintage late 1960s/ early 1970s keyring – collector’s item

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Porsche keyring which will have been produced in the late 1960s or early 1970s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

What a superb keyring………………..and we don’t often say that !

This original Porsche keyring really is in a class of it’s own – just look at that lovely vitreous enamel badge .

The keyring is in excellent condition with the vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine tan leather .

The badge is in almost mint condition with no enamel chips or surface scratches in the enamel – quite remarkable for a keyring of this age .

The leather keyfob is in excellent condition with just a few marks and wrinkles to show that it has been used.

The patent no. and ‘ MADE IN ENGLAND’ are embossed on the reverse of the leather keyfob – in the 1960s & 1970s almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry .

‘ PORSCHE’ is represented along the top bar of the badge with a background of white enamel .

This white enamel top bar went out of use in the very early 1970s coinciding with the introduction of impact bumpers on the 911 .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive and would be particularly relevant for use with an early 911 .

If you are lucky enough to own one of those cars you will probably have noticed that date correct keyrings in good condition like this one are rarer than the cars themselves !
