NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
We have just this one example of this original vintage Porsche keyring to offer- but are also offering a similar keyring in new old stock condition unless now sold.
Difficult to date – but our opinion would be late 1980s.
We have listed 3 or 4 examples of this Porsche keyring with a burgundy leather keyfob over the last 10 years and believe that they were ‘aftermarket’ items which were produced in Birmingham and offered to dealers to issue with new cars at the time.
The keyring in this listing is in good condition with a gilt plated vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine burgundy leather.
There is a small enamel chip in the vitreous enamel on the face of the badge – in the red enamel on the left hand side which can be seen in the photos.
The leather keyfob is in good condition with good tight stitching and has become worn in with use – which is rather attractive.
The gilt plated splitring looks to be brand new and has probably been replaced at some point.
It is not every customer who seeks mint perfection in a keyring – many prefer a keyring which looks to have ‘had a life’ and matches the condition of their car.
A very good quality keyring for the time when production of these things was beginning to be moved to the Far East ( which is where Porsche keyrings are still made to this day )
Original Porsche keyrings have increased in value substantially over the last three years – in line with the values of the cars themselves .
Some very scruffy examples are now attracting very strong bidding on internet auction sites
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold then this listing will cancel. 00/511 09/20
