Porsche – original vintage new old stock 1970s keyring

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

We would think that this is an original Porsche keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s .

Just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in new old stock condition .

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine tan leather .

The construction of the keyring is classic 1970s with an aluminium rivet retaining the badge onto the keyfob .

We would think that this keyring will date from the 1970s but this method of construction did carry on after that period – so it could have been made later .

We always err on the side of caution if there is any doubt .

Having said that – the badge is in genuine vitreous enamel and the badge has ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ cast into the reverse – almost all keyrings & keyfob badges for the world’s cars were made in England at the time – it was quite an industry.

The vitreous enamel badge is exactly the same badge as Porsche badges which were mounted onto vinyl keyfobs in the late 1960s – these are easy to date as vinyl keyrings were only produced in the 1960s . We have seen & listed a few of these ( one is currently listed here in this website shop unless now sold ) and this would suggest that this keyring will be a 1970s item.

The keyfob is in genuine leather – had the keyring been made later then the keyfob would have been in faux leather and would be unlikely to have the patent no. stamped into the leather beneath the badge as can be seen.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSO   00/541    02/22
