Reliant Scimitar – original 1970s keyring – slight damage to keyfob

So far as we can recall this is only the 2nd example of an original Scimitar keyring which we have listed over the last 10 years – original Scimitar keyrings are rare items.

This keyring is in very good condition apart from having a small staple hole through the keyfob under the badge.

We have seen similar holes in other keyrings from time to time and can only assume owners staple them onto beams in their garages as ‘mementos’ when they sell a car !

Obviously the hole can only be seen when the badge is flipped up from the keyfob ( not often ) and we have taken an under-exposed photo of the hole so it can be seen .

The keyring has a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather gold embossed with the genuine leather symbol .

However the keyfob is in faux leather – not real leather !

This was a common deceit in the 1970s before trades descriptions legislation had grown teeth .

This keyring is original & correct for use with any 1968 onwards Reliant Scimitar .
