Original Vintage & Restored Leather Keyrings for Classic Cars & Motorcycles

Rolls Royce – original vintage early 1970s torpedo dealership keyring

1 in stock

An original Rolls Royce dealership keyring which will have been produced in the early 1970s .

We have just this one example of this particular keyring – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This keyring is in very good condition and will have been issued with a Rolls Royce motor car supplied from this dealership .

The nickel plated badge has black vitreous enamel detail and is mounted onto a torpedo keyfob in genuine full grain black leather of a generous thickness.

There is some very slight loss of nickel plating on the badge which can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos but is not particularly noticeable when viewed at lifesize .

The reverse of the keyfob is gold embossed with the supplying dealership details .

No maker’s mark is visible and it would initially be assumed that the keyring was made by  CUD ( Castle Unit Developments of Castle Gate Leicester )

However we believe this to not actually be the case as CUD’s torpedo keyfobs were not produced in this thickness of leather and in this particular grade of leather .

We would think that this dealership was having these keyrings produced by another maker and possibly just after CUD had ceased production – the very early 1970s .

We have noticed that some prestige car dealerships did continue issuing torpedo keyrings into the 1970s – probably out of tradition as torpedos were what their customers expected to receive with their cars .

A superb original keyring correct in every way for use with any 1970s Rolls Royce motor car and especially if that car was know to have been supplied from this dealership.

The keyring in the photos is the actual keyring which you will receive .
