Seven-Fifty ( 750 ) Motor Club – original vintage 1960s keyring – collector’s item

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Seven-Fifty ( 750) Motor Club keyring which we would think will have been produced in the 1960s .

We have just this one keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This is the only original example of a 750 Motor Club keyring which we have ever listed over the years – a very rare item and of particular interest to owners of early Lotus cars .

The keyring is in really excellent condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine tan leather with pronounced grain .

There is an unimportant slight ink mark on the back of the keyfob ( probably biro ink ) and in the small plain panel beneath the badge the original owner has marked something ( probably with the same pen ) which obviously meant something to them but not to us ……………..

We have studied the mark and sadly cannot confirm that it reads CC or Colin Chapman !!

The 750 Motor Club was formed in 1939 as a means for the owners of Austin Sevens to meet and become involved in competition .

This progressed to become an outlet for builders of specials – many of whom are now very well known figures in motorsport – perhaps the most famous being Colin Chapman who produced a number of Austin Seven specials with his Lotus Mk I being a trials car competing within the 750 Motor Club .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive . SMOSO  00/521   11/23
