Standard Vanguard - original vintage 1950s pendant keyring

An original Standard Vanguard keyring which will have been produced in the 1950s .

This design of this keyring is one of the designs of keyring which was used with Standard Vanguards at the time – this is the 3rd example which we have seen and listed over the last few years.

The keyring is in good condition with a vitreous enamel on nickel plated badge mounted onto a leather strap with splitring attached.

The leather is embossed to resemble snakeskin – a very stylish item for the austere mid 1950s !

The name of one of the original owners from Castlebar ( the county town of County Mayo in Ireland ) has been scratched onto the back of the badge – rather a nice original detail .

We wonder how many of these keyrings have survived the last 60 years in this condition ?

The keyring is original & correct for use with any 1950s Standard Vanguard motor car.
