We do not have a licence that allows us to reproduce any of the Toyota logos and none of the Toyota keyrings listed in this website shop have Toyota badges which have been made by us.
The keyring in this listing has an original badge which is over 50 years old.
This is an original old stock vitreous enamel on gilt badge dating from the early 1960s.
Made by Freeline badge co. of Bristol – their details are cast into the back of the badge.
We have never seen another of these Freeline Toyota badges – they must be very scarce. Probably very few were made at the time.
We have remounted the badge onto one of our classic rectangular keyfobs in black leather – which is how it would have been mounted at the time.
The badge is in good condition – as can be seen from the photos – but does look it’s age – which is all part of its charm. Age is something which cannot be successfully replicated.
The top left hand portion of the badge has dark shading beneath the enamel – this will have been there since the enamel was fired in the furnace in the 1960s. It will not affect the durability of the badge whatsoever ( it has lasted 50 years already ! )
Early vitreous enamel keyfob badges were often ‘overdone’ in the firing process. This was not an exact science and in many cases no two badges are ever the same !
Original & correct for your early 1960’s Landcruiser or Sports 800.
The keyring in the photo is the actual one which you will receive.
