Original Vintage & Restored Leather Keyrings for Classic Cars & Motorcycles

Triumph motorcycle – original vintage 1960s melsom products / heath & machin keyring – collector’s item

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

The keyring in this listing is an original Triumph keyring which will have been produced around 50 years ago.

Just this one keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled

An original Triumph motorcycle keyring in excellent condition for it’s age – these keyrings were used on open motorcycles in all weathers and very few have survived intact .

The nickel plated cobalt blue vitreous enamel ‘drop’ badge ( like a drop of liquid ) is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine blue leather with natural fibre stitching in contrasting thread.

The badge is in surprisingly good condition with no enamel chips whilst the leather keyfob has become polished with use .

The original blue leather colour can be seen beneath the badge which has shielded this portion of the keyfob from the sun .

Made in the 1960s in Walsall, England by Heath Machin & Co who ( as well as making their own keyrings ) mounted keyfob badges onto leather keyfobs for other badgemakers including Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham  – this is what has happened in the case of this keyring .

Heath & Machin cannot have mounted many Triumph badges for Melsom products Ltd – as this is the only example which we have ever seen & listed over the years .

Heath Machin & Co. were bought out by new owners in the very early 1970s and continued making small leather goods into the 1990s.

This keyring came to us complete with a small LUCAS ‘spade’ ignition key – obviously from the bike which the keyring was used with .

This is included with the keyring .

This keyring is original & correct for use with any 1960s Triumph motorcycle .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSO   00/59    11/22
