NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
This is a rare example of an original Triumph Spitfire keyring – not many seem to have been produced at the time.
The keyring is in new condition – probably new old stock.
Dating from the early 1970s – the badge is in nickel plate with genuine vitreous enamel detail.
Had this badge been made later in The Far East then the enamelling would have been in modern resin ( plastic ) based enamel.
The badge is mounted onto a black keyfob which has the genuine leather symbol plainly embossed …………………..but the keyfob is not in genuine leather.
It is in good quality textured faux leather. Trades descriptions legislation in the 1970s did not pick up on this and we commonly see similarly marked 1970s & 1980s keyrings.
Having said that these faux leather keyfobs often actually lasted better than the ones made from the genuine leather being used at the time for keyring production.
These keyring is a rare example of what was actually being used in some Triumph Spitfire cars in the 1970s.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 59/43 12/19
