An original Isle of Man Tourist Trophy keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s- easy to date as it has a vinyl keyfob .
The keyring is in very good condition considering that it is 50 years old with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in tan coloured vinyl.
Vinyl was often used for motorcycle keyfobs in the 1960s – a sensible choice for keyrings intended to be used on open motorcycles as leather keyfobs do tend to get soggy when wet !
Keyrings like this one would have been on sale at the TT – with many motorcyclists attending the annual ‘pilgrimage ‘ buying them as souvenirs and using them on their motorcycles .
This one is a very rare survivor as almost all will now have been lost or discarded.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
