Vespa – original 1960s vintage keyring by AE Wassell of Birmingham .

Original vintage keyrings in this condition for Vespa motor scooters are scarce – the keyrings were used on open scooters in all weathers and led a hard life !

This keyring is in brand new condition and was made by the firm of AE Wassell of Birmingham who made keyrings for the world’s motorcycles and scooters in the late 1950s and early 1960s. At that time almost all keyrings for cars, motorcycles & scooters were made in England – it was quite an industry.

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather –  an excellent quality item for the time.

Although being brand new old stock – the vitreous enamel on the badge was hand laid at the time and the light sky blue enamel has been very thinly applied as can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos .

This is all part of the charm of a 50+ year old vintage keyring made long before modern automated processes became commonplace.

This keyring is original & correct for use with any late 1950s or 1960s Vespa motor scooter.
