Vespa – original vintage early 1960s Sculthorp of London keyring – collector’s item

An original Vespa keyring which will have been produced in the early 1960s.

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Very few keyrings like this one will have survived over the last 60 + years .

This is a scarce example and we cannot remember having ever listed another one like it .

This keyring is in very good condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

The badge has a few light scratches and scrapes on the enamel surface – hardly surprising having been used on open motor scooters in all weathers over the years .

Made by Sculthorp & Co. Ltd of London who specialised in producing keyrings for motor cycles, scooters and light cars .

They went out of business or were taken over by another business in the mid 1960s – so this keyring is very easy to date .

Many of their keyrings for motor cycles & scooters were produced with these distinctively shaped long peardrop keyfobs in black faux leather – much more practical for use on open bikes & scooters than leather in wet weather conditions .
