Volkswagen – original 1960s gilt Wolfsburg shield badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original vintage Volkswagen keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob.

When this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

An original gilt Volkswagen keyfob badge which will date from the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob in full grain black leather.

We did list and sell a keyring with a similar badge recently.

The gilt badge is in good condition with vitreous enamel detail and has mellowed ( as these gilt badges always do ) to give an aged appearance which could never be confused with a reproduction badge.

Only the passage of time and use contribute to this mellowing.

There are traces of colour in the ‘sunburst’ detail in the badge – we are not sure if this area was originally enamelled – the other badge which we had also exhibited this.

All other areas of enamel are complete.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
