Volkswagen – original 1960s vitreous enamel on gilt keyfob badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Volkswagen keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s possibly by Heath Machin of Walsall which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

We have just this one keyring with this Volkswagen badge to offer .

This keyring has an original 1960s vitreous enamel on gilt badge which we have remounted onto a new keyfob in full grain ‘vintage’ black leather .

The badge is in really excellent condition in solid cobalt blue & white vitreous enamel with no chips or cracks in the enamel .

The gilt plating has mellowed over the years to a most attractive soft ‘ antique gold ‘ appearance – as gilt plating invariably does .

‘ MADE IN ENGLAND ‘ marked on the reverse of the badge – in the 1960s almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry .

We have fitted a splitring in a similar antique gold finish to match the badge .

A beautiful keyring which could be used with any 1960s Volkswagen motor car – or would look great used a ‘ retro’ keyring in a much later car .
