The keyrings in this listing are original vintage items which were produced around 50 years ago.
When they have all been sold this listing will be cancelled .
We have just a few of these original vintage Volkswagen keyrings which date from the 1960s.
These keyrings came to us in a stock of keyrings which had been in store since the 1960s.
They are new old stock and have never been used – hence their condition is virtually mint apart from some slight dark storage marks on the leather under the badges which cannot be seen until the badge is flipped up from the keyfob .
The nickel plated vitreous enamel badges show the Wolfsburg crest and are mounted onto genuine tan leather keyfobs.
They were made by Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham at the time – Melsom’s details are cast into the back of the badges .
At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry.
Very lightly embossed into the leather beneath the badges is the word ‘keyflix’ which was Melsom Product’s trademark .
These keyrings are original & correct for any 1960s or early 1970s Volkswagen motor car and are rare survivors of the keyrings which were actually being used in the cars at the time.
When all of the keyrings have been sold then this listing will be cancelled.
