NOW SOLD – Sorry all these keyrings have now been sold and can no longer be ordered
We have just 3 of these original new old stock Wolseley keyrings to offer which are in brand new condition.
These are original keyrings which will have been made in Birmingham at the time – before automotive keyrings were made in The Far East.
Dating from the 1970s when there was still a strong demand for keyrings from owners of the many 1000’s of Wolseley cars were still on the roads being used as daily drivers.
The badges are in nickel plate with vitreous enamel detail .
Had these badges been made later in The Far East then the enamelling would have been in modern resin ( plastic ) based enamel.
The badges are mounted onto black keyfobs which have the genuine leather symbol plainly gold-embossed …………………..but the keyfobs are not genuine leather.
They are in good quality textured faux leather. Trades descriptions legislation in the 1970s did not pick up on this and we commonly see similarly marked 1970s & 1980s keyrings.
Having said that these faux leather keyfobs often actually lasted better than the ones made from the genuine leather being used at the time for keyring production.
These keyrings are examples of what was actually being used in Wolseley cars in the 1970s.
When all 3 keyrings have been sold this listing will be cancelled. 59/31
