Alfa Romeo Milano – original new old stock key wallet

The Alfa Romeo key wallet in this listing is an original item which we would think will have been produced in the 1970s .

We have just this one key wallet to offer – when this key wallet has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Difficult to put an exact date on this key wallet – but we would think 1970s or possibly even 1980s .

Alfa Romeo dropped ‘Milano’ from their badge in 1972 but keyring manufacturers ( who will also have produced this key wallet ) tended to lag behind and were still producing ‘Milano’ keyrings well into the 1970s and early 1980s .

So we would think this key wallet could have been produced at anytime within that time span – or could have even been produced later for the classic market .

It is in mint new old stock condition with an acrylic badge set in a plated metal mount with a wallet in genuine full grain black leather .

In the closed position ( which is how the wallet would be used ) the wallet is hardly bigger than a keyring and the ignition key would be safely nestled within the wallet and is actually a rather better thing to keep in the pocket than a keyring with a bunch of keys jangling around .

The wallet would then be opened up and the ignition key retained on one of the hooks within the wallet would be swung out and the wallet would then be closed.

Any other keys retained on other hooks could be left within the wallet until needed .

The ignition key would then be used as normal with the little wallet dangling from it .

The wallet measures approximately 3″ x 2″ ( 75mm x 50mm ) closed.

Opened up it measures approximately 4″ x 3″ ( 100mm x 75mm )

The press stud ( popper ) snaps shut with precision to close & secure the wallet as it should.

The 4 key hooks within the wallet are strongly mounted onto the leather case.

The small leather strap on top of the wallet is also secured with a press stud and other wallets which we have seen usually have a split ring fitted through this so that a key can be fitted and used without having to open the wallet first . In that case we will provide a suitable split ring fitted – see the final listing photo .
