NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
An original Jaguar keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s or possibly the very early 1980s .
We have just this one keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
This is only the 3rd complete example of one of these keyrings which we have ever listed over the years .
This keyring is in new old stock condition and will probably never have been used despite it being well over 40 years old .
The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather – the badge and keyfob look so bright and fresh that they could have been made yesterday – quite remarkable .
This original keyring is not to be confused with later reproductions with a badge in acrylic resin rather than the vitreous enamel which the badge on this keyring has been produced in .
Examples of this keyring are shown & described in Bud Marston’s Vintage Jaguar keyrings book which is featured at the beginning of our Jaguar section in this website shop.
Bud dates the keyrings to the 1970s and states that the growler is exhibiting a distinctive left-cheek snarl – here in the UK the badge has been dubbed ‘The Winking Jaguar ‘ .
Bud carries on to say that badges with this ‘anomaly’ carry no maker’s mark – as is the case with the badge on this keyring .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSOÂ 005310526
