Volkswagen – original 1990s new old stock keyring by Renamel of London with acrylic badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine green leather

The keyring in this listing is an original Volkswagen keyring which will have been produced over 30 years ago .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in new old stock condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine green leather – it will never have been used.

It will have been produced by Renamel Ltd in their final Honeypot Lane London location shortly before they closed their doors .

Renamel produced quite a range of keyrings in their own distinctive style like this keyring .

They also produced some of the first acrylic badged keyrings in the late 1970s & early 1980s which had the very real advantage over traditional vitreous enamel badged keyrings in that the badge did not crack or break when dropped onto a hard surface .

Their original badges were marked ‘ RENAMEL made in England’ on the reverse but later badges like the one mounted onto this keyring were no longer marked.

Their keyrings were generally produced in imitation leather but this keyring is an exception as the keyfob is in genuine green leather .

Renamel keyrings were budget priced but were well made and were produced in considerable numbers but not many like this one will have survived particularly in this condition .
