Lambretta – original 1960s solid brass shield badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Lambretta keyfob badge which we would think will have been produced during the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

What a superb badge – and the only one which we have ever seen .

This badge turned up at an autojumble in Lincolnshire close to Skegness where some of the most ‘interesting’ skirmishes between mods & rockers took place in the 1960s ………….and would like to believe that it came from a keyring dropped during one of the most famous incidents at the time where a well known local ‘rocker’ rabble-rouser pursued over 100 mods single handed along the seafront brandishing a three legged stool snatched from a cafe .

Later in court being prosecuted for the affray the judge passed sentence commenting that he would have been pleased to have had men like the accused in his regiment during the last war but such valour was no longer called for during a Bank Holiday at the seaside .

We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in full grain black leather and trust that the new owner will not have the misfortune of losing it in Skegness should they happen to be there over a Bank Holiday .
