Volkswagen Rabbit ( Golf ) – original vintage new old stock late 1970s keyring by Renamel of London

An original Volkswagen Rabbit keyring which will have been produced during the late 1970s .

We are listing just this one example of this keyring  – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This is the only keyring for Volkswagen Rabbit which we have ever listed – a very rare item .

The VW Beetle was replaced by the VW Golf and the version sold in North America was called the VW Rabbit – this went on sale in 1975 and the name was discontinued in 1984 .

This keyring is in new old stock  condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in faux black leather .

The keyring was made by Renamel of London – in the 1970s almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were produced in England – it was quite an industry .

The reverse of the badges on their earliest keyrings were marked ‘RENAMEL london england ‘ – like this one .
