BMW – original 1960s/ early 1970s vitreous enamel badge in age worn condition remounted onto a new leather keyfob

The keyring in this listing has an original vintage BMW keyfob badge which will have been produced around 50 years ago which we have remounted onto a new  leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We are offering just this one keyring with this actual badge – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

A most unusual original vitreous enamel BMW keyfob badge which we would think will have been produced in the 1960s ( possibly very early 1970s ) – we have only seen one other like this one over the years .

Instead of being in the usual white, blue & black enamel this badge has the rotors of the stylised propellor in polished nickel which would usually be represented in white enamel.

The badge is in age worn condition as can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos .

The surface of the vitreous enamel has wear and there are scratches in the surface of the nickel plating and some slight loss of nickel plating on the edge of the badge at 1 0’clock on the face of the badge .

‘MADE IN ENGLAND ‘ marked on the reverse of the badge – in the 1960s almost all car keyrings were made in England – it was quite an industry .

If your idea of a perfect keyring is mint perfection then this keyring is certainly not for you !

On the other hand if you prefer an original badge which has ‘ had a life ‘ and has probably travelled very many thousands of miles in a previous BMW or previous BMWs then you may prefer a keyring like this one as an increasing number of customers seem to do these days .

We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in ‘ vintage’ grained black leather which is sympathetic to the condition of the badge .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive …………………now strongly remounted and ready for another 50 years of motoring .
