Original Vintage & Restored Leather Keyrings for Classic Cars & Motorcycles

AEC - original vintage 1960s keyring - Routemaster bus - collector's item

REFERENCE ONLY -Sorry this keyring has been sold but we have left it on view so that those with an interest in AEC can see it.

An original AEC keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s.

When this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

The only AEC keyring which we have ever seen and listed over the last 10 years – this one has been in our reference collection since 2011 and we have only just decided to part with it.

The triangular vitreous enamel badge is inlaid into the genuine tan leather keyfob and is probably new old stock judging by the mint condition that the keyring is in.

We would not think that many keyrings will have been made for AEC – otherwise we would have come across others over the years.

Those that were made will doubtless have led a very arduous life in commercial vehicles up and down the road systems of Britain & Europe – not to mention in Routemaster buses in London.

Very few will have survived intact .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive- sorry about the relatively high price but we paid over the odds to buy it at the time.

When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

AEC ( Associated Equipment Co. ) built buses, coaches & trucks from 1912 – 1979 when they were closed down by British Leyland.

The AEC double decker London Routemaster bus will probably always be their most famous product – this ceased production in 1968.  00/55      07/20
