AJS – original vintage late 1950s/ early 1960s new old stock keyring by SCHALL with Navy blue leather keyfob – collector’s item

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered but we have left the listing on view as an example of a particularly scarce AJS keyring .

An original AJS keyring which will have been produced in the late 1950s or very early 1960s .

We have just this one keyring in Navy blue leather to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This keyring is in new old stock condition and is a very rare item – it is the only AJS keyring by SCHALL which we have ever listed

The nickel plated badge mounted onto the keyring has been enamelled in blue coach enamel ( not the usual vitreous enamel more common at the time )

This coach enamel will have been individually hand applied with an enameller’s brush .

The badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine Navy blue leather .

The keyring was made in England by SCHALL ( SC HALL ) who probably didn’t expect to be making many of these keyrings for AJS bikes at the time .

In that case it could probably have not been worthwhile setting up to produce a run of vitreous enamel badges and the badges were simply enamelled by hand instead .

A really superb original keyring which could be used with any AJS motorcycle of the period .
