Alfa Romeo - original 1970s vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a keyfob in red pigskin leather

An original Alfa Romeo keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1970s which we have remounted onto a new keyfob in red pigskin leather as can be seen in the photos.

We occasionally receive one of these lovely original 1970s Alfa Romeo vitreous enamel keyfob badges ( and also the pre-1972 Alfa Romeo Milano keyfob badge ) and have become well known for remounting them onto new keyfobs in red pigskin leather .

Haven’t had one for some time – but now we have another – these badges were produced in jewellery quality vitreous enamel .

This keyring has an original vitreous enamel on gilt Alfa Romeo badge which will have been produced in the 1970s.

The badge is in superb condition for it’s age as can be seen from the photos .

In 1972 Alfa Romeo dropped ‘Milano’ from their badge – so we know that this badge dates from after 1972 .

‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ marked on the back of the badge – in the 1960s & 1970s almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry .

We have remounted the badge onto a new leather keyfob in genuine red pigskin leather – red leather has always been the most popular colour choice for Alfa Romeo keyrings by our customers and pigskin leather is one of the finest leathers which can be used for a keyring .

Pigskin leather was sometimes used for car keyrings in the 1950s & 1960s on account of it’s appearance and hard wearing characteristics – usually for prestige makes of car such as Aston Martin & Jaguar .

Hardly ever used nowadays on account of cost .
