Alfa Romeo – original 1970s vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Alfa Romeo keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1970s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob in full grain black leather as can be seen in the photos.

When this keyring with this badge has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

We are also currently  listing just one other keyring with a similar original badge but mounted onto a keyfob in red leather ( unless it has now been sold )

This jewellery quality vitreous enamel badge is in really excellent condition and the enamel is so bright & fresh that it looks as though it could have been made only yesterday .

However the badge is well over 40 years old – and was probably made in Walsall, England by Heath Machin & Co who ( as well as making their own keyrings & badges like this one ) also mounted keyfob badges onto leather keyfobs for other badgemakers including Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham .

Heath Machin & Co. were bought out by new owners in the mid 1970s and continued making small leather goods into the 1990s.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive – a lovely keyring with an original badge now remounted onto a new leather keyfob and ready for the road again in any 1970s Alfa Romeo or in a later car as a ‘retro’ keyring .
