Ariel - original vintage late 1950s/early 1960s new old stock AE Wassell keyring

Original vintage Ariel keyrings which will have been produced in the late 1950s or 1960s .

These are original keyrings which were made in the early 1960s and must have been in store ever since without seeing the light of day.

How do keyrings which are around 60 years old remain in this mint condition ?

Made at the time by AE Wassell badgemakers in Birmingham.

Wassells specialised in producing keyrings for motorcycles – the only manufacturer who produced keyrings almost exclusively for bikes.

New old stock – so condition is mint and unused.

The vitreous enamel badges are mounted onto dark tan keyfobs in genuine leather.

The keyfobs are in a leather which is of a lighter thickness than we tend to use  – which is befitting of a light keyring intended for use on a motorcycle and the leather is in a high gloss finish ( which looks rather plasticky – but is actually leather )  This is probably waterproof to a degree for use on an open motorcycle in all weathers.

These keyrings are original & correct for use with any Ariel motorcycle of the period.
