An original Ariel keyring which will have been produced in the late 1950s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This keyring is in very good condition and is over 60 years old !

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine pigskin leather .

The badge is in excellent condition with no enamel chips or other damage – quite remarkable with a badge of this age on a keyring which has obviously had a fair bit of use.

The pigskin leather keyfob is also in very good condition for it’s age with good tight stitching throughout and has acquired a pleasing degree of polish as a result of constant handling over the years .

Pigskin leather was ( and is ! ) an expensive luxury material which was usually reserved for keyrings for prestige cars such as Aston Martin & Jaguar .

Made by Sculthorp of London who did make a lot of keyrings for motorcycles at the time .

Many motorcycle keyfobs from the 1950s & 1960s are in a leather which is of a lighter thickness than we tend to use  – this keyring is a good example of this which is befitting of a light keyring intended for use on a motorcycle .

This keyring will be original & correct for use with any Ariel motorcycle of the period.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
