Aston Martin – original vintage new old stock late 1970s black border keyring by Manhattan Windsor – collector’s item

An original new old stock Aston Martin keyring which will have been  produced in the late 1970s .

When this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Only the 2nd example of one of these original Aston Martin keyrings which we have ever listed .

The first example which was listed and sold some time back was actually together with the manufacturer’s original artwork which was dated 23rd August 1977 .

The artwork had been painstakingly produced in water colour by hand with the stippled gilt plated ground represented by tiny flecks of gold paint.

This keyring is in new old stock mint condition and still mounted onto the original display card within the original celluloid sleeve – it has never been issued.

The bright gilt plated vitreous enamel badge with a black border is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine full grain black leather embossed ‘TOP GRAIN LEATHER ‘

Produced by Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham who made almost all Aston Martin keyrings from the 1960s through to the early 2000s .

Manhattan Windsor’s inverted M over W logo is cast into the reverse of the badge.

The Aston Martin winged logo on the front of the badge must be one of the most intricate designs ever produced in vitreous enamel – the complexity of the individual segments of white enamel separated by tiny gilt plated metal strips is staggering.

Apart from original Aston Martin torpedo keyrings and the earlier example of this keyring which we sold some time back – this keyring will be one of the most important & rare Aston Martin keyrings which we have ever listed and will be original and date correct for placing with any late 1970s or early 1980s Aston Martin motor car including Aston Martin V8 & V8 Vantage/ Volante .
