Audi – original 1970s gilt vitreous enamel badge with enamel flaw mounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Audi keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1970s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

This vitreous enamel badge has some ‘cloudiness’ in the black enamel .

Just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

Not all original keyfob badges that we receive are in mint new old stock condition……………….and not every customer seeks perfection in a keyring .

This rare original vitreous enamel badge is in excellent physical condition but is spoiled by having some ‘cloudiness’ in the black enamel at the right hand side of the base of the badge .

This flaw will have been there since the badge was fired and is quite common in these 40+ year old vitreous enamel badges .

This can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos .

The badge is in gilt plate which has mellowed from the original bright finish as they always do – to give a rather pleasing finish .

‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ cast into the reverse of the badge – in the 1970s almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England.

It was quite an industry .
