Austin 1100 – original new old stock 1980s/1990s Renamel keyring with an acrylic badge mounted onto a keyfob in dark tan leather

An original Austin 1100 keyring which we would think will have been produced in the late 1980s or 1990s for the classic car market .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in new old stock condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine dark tan  leather – it will never have been used.

It will have been produced by Renamel Ltd in their final Honeypot Lane London location shortly before they closed their doors .

Renamel had produced some of the first acrylic badged keyrings in the late 1970s & early 1980s which had the very real advantage over traditional vitreous enamel badged keyrings in that the badge did not crack or break when dropped onto a hard surface .

Their original badges were marked ‘ RENAMEL made in England’ on the reverse but later badges like the one mounted onto this keyring were no longer marked.

Renamel’s keyrings were almost always produced in imitation leather but this keyring is an exception as the keyfob is in genuine leather .

Renamel keyrings were budget priced but were well made and were produced in considerable numbers but not many like this one will have survived particularly in this condition – so we would regard this keyring as being a rare survivor .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive which could be used with 1962 -1967 Austin 1100 .
